He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and went on to the University of Detroit Mercy for dental school. Before joining the team he was a Captain in the United States Air Force Dental Corps.

We asked Dr. Rogers a few questions so you can get to know him a little better!

What led you to seek a career in dentistry?
“I knew early on in high school that I wanted to go into healthcare and help people pursue healthy and happy lives. I had fantastic experiences with my dentist and orthodontist growing up. They were great clinicians, but they were even better at reaching out and making sure their patients were informed of their options, comfortable with their decisions, and left the office feeling satisfied with their care. Dentistry drew me in because it offers a unique opportunity to blend caring for patients and connecting with people.”
What is an achievement of yours in dentistry?
“Selected for the United States Air Force Health Professions Scholarship Program in Dentistry in 2011. Graduated from University of Detroit-Mercy School of Dentistry in 2015 and commissioned as a Captain in the United States Air Force Dental Corps. Completed Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency program in 2016. Deployed for 30 days to Aguadilla, Puerto Rico to help provide humanitarian relief immediately following Hurricane Maria. Appointed Faculty of Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences Postgraduate Dental College in 2018.”
