How We Give Back
Smiles from the Heart: Free Dental Days
We know that dental care is not always easy to access. For many people, cost, lack of insurance, transportation, or life circumstances can make it difficult to get the care they need.
That is why MI Smiles Dental is proud to host Smiles from the Heart, our free dental day program for community members in need.
During Smiles from the Heart events, community members in need may receive one free dental service, such as:
- Dental cleaning
- Filling
- Tooth extraction
Services are provided on a first-come, first-served basis as time and capacity allow.
Annual Free Dental Events in West Michigan
MI Smiles Dental hosts Smiles from the Heart events in West Michigan throughout the year, including community-focused free dental days in the Hudsonville and Grand Rapids areas.
These events are one of our favorite ways to give back because they allow our team to meet immediate needs for patients who may be experiencing dental pain, have gone without care, or do not have regular access to a dentist.

Smiles from the Heart for Veterans
MI Smiles Dental has also been proud to support local veterans through Smiles from the Heart for Veterans, a free dental care event created specifically for those who have served our country.
This event was created as a way to express gratitude for the sacrifices veterans and their families have made, while helping remove barriers to needed dental care in a respectful, supportive setting.
Through past Smiles from the Heart for Veterans events, eligible veterans have had access to free dental services such as:
