Veneers are wafer-thin slices of porcelain bonded to the fronts of your teeth that show when you smile and talk. If you have ever felt self-conscious about your smile, you owe it to yourself to schedule a consultation with one of our cosmetic dentists in Cascade and Grand Haven. Porcelain veneers can be used to cover teeth that are chipped, worn, or discolored.

Porcelain Veneers Process

The veneers procedure takes two appointments. During your first visit with us, our dentist will remove a small amount of enamel from the fronts of your teeth. This is done so the dental veneers won’t make your teeth seem large or bulky. Next, we’ll take dental impressions to send to the lab where your veneers will be made. We’ll place temporary veneers over your teeth while you wait.

When you return to our office, your veneers will be ready. Our dentist will check the color, size, and shape of your dental veneers. Once our dentist is satisfied with how your porcelain veneers look, they’ll clean, polish, and etch the fronts of your receiving teeth. That way, the veneers will create a strong bond with your teeth once they’re cemented in place. With proper care, your porcelain veneers will last for years to come.
